Coco Husk Chips for Growbag Manufacturing
We do not make growbags. We supply the chip fraction that growbag manufacturers blend into theirs.
A commercial growbag is an engineered product: a casing filled with a designed blend of coir fractions, compressed, and expanded on farm. The blend is where a growbag earns its reputation: the ratio of cocopeat to husk chips (and sometimes crush or fiber) sets the air-to-water behavior that growers experience across an entire crop.
Manufacturers therefore buy their fractions separately and to specification. Coco husk chips are the fraction that controls drainage and aeration inside the bag: a higher chip share produces a more open, faster-draining profile; a finer grade softens the effect. Consistency matters more than anything, because a recipe only works if the chip input behaves the same in every production run.
Coco Chips Indonesia supplies growbag and slab producers with screened chip grades (4–8 mm, 4–12 mm, 4–16 mm) from Indonesia, compressed into 5 kg blocks for freight efficiency or loose where that suits the intake line. To be clear: we supply the input material only, and no finished growbags.
What the chips contribute
A controllable recipe lever
Defined chip grades let your R&D specify profiles by percentage and size range.
Batch-to-batch consistency
Screened input keeps the expanded bag's air–water behavior repeatable across runs.
Freight-efficient intake
Compressed 5 kg blocks move more material per container than loose chips; loosening happens at your plant.
One material family
Chips pair with your cocopeat supply so the whole bag stays coir-based.
Which grade to consider
- Medium 4–12 mm: Balanced fraction used across many growbag recipes.
- Large 4–16 mm: High-drainage layers and coarse profiles.
- Small 4–8 mm: Fine structural adjustment in dense recipes.
Format and packing
Most manufacturers import compressed 5 kg blocks palletized for container loading and run them through loosening equipment before blending. If your line takes loose material, we can discuss that route. Blocks per pallet, container loading, and preparation characteristics are confirmed at quotation; we do not publish generic numbers that may not match your order.
Worth knowing before you order
- State your target EC window and any washing or buffering requirement in the inquiry, as these are confirmed per order.
- If your blending line meters by volume, discuss moisture at intake so dosing stays accurate.
- Trial quantities for recipe validation can be discussed, subject to production and order requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell finished growbags or slabs?
No. We supply coco husk chips as a raw material for manufacturers who produce growbags, slabs, and open-top bags. Your casing, blend, and compression remain your product.
Can you hold a specification across repeat orders?
Consistency is the core of a raw-material relationship. Agree the specification (grade, fines share, moisture, and any treatment) at quotation, and it becomes the reference for repeat supply. Availability remains subject to production and order requirements.
Can we combine chips and cocopeat in one supply discussion?
Our commercial focus on this site is the chip fraction. Raise your full requirement in the inquiry and we will confirm what can be arranged through one commercial contact.
