Two supply formats

One material, packed two ways

The same screened coco husk chips can be compressed for freight efficiency or shipped loose for direct use. Choose by how your operation stores, handles, and prepares material.

Compressed 5 kg Block

Chips pressed into a nominal 5 kg block for compact handling, stacking, and container loading. Blocks are loosened or hydrated before use, depending on the application. This format is built for importers moving serious volume.

  • Designed to move more material per container
  • Stackable and palletized for export
  • Requires loosening / preparation before final use

Loose Coco Husk Chips

Ready-to-handle chips without compression, useful where buyers want to skip block-loosening equipment and feed material straight into blending, potting, or packing lines.

  • No block-breaking step in your workflow
  • Straight into hoppers, pots, or retail packing
  • Shipping efficiency differs from compressed formats

Three screened grades

Pick the chip size your substrate needs

Chip size sets the air space, drainage, and texture a blend ends up with. We screen coco husk chips into three practical ranges.

Close-up of medium 4–12 mm coco husk chips with mixed particle sizes

Medium · 4–12 mm

A balanced, general-purpose chip range that combines structure with moderate particle variation, the starting point for many potting and greenhouse blends.

  • Potting mixtures for containers of most common sizes
  • Nursery plants and container production
  • Ornamental plants that want structure without very coarse chunks
Explore the 4–12 mm grade

Final grade suitability depends on the plant, container, irrigation method, blend ratio, and your specification. Read the size guide.

Why growers specify it

What coco husk chips do in a substrate

No miracle claims, just the physical jobs a chip fraction does inside a growing medium.

Air space in the blend

Chips hold open macropores inside a substrate, keeping oxygen moving through the root zone.

Supports drainage

Excess water moves past the chip structure instead of pooling in a dense profile.

Structural texture

Rigid husk cubes give a mix body and brace it against slumping in the container.

Less compaction

A chip fraction helps reduce the excessive settling that fine media show over time.

Moisture with porosity

Each chip retains some moisture internally while the spaces between chips stay open.

Blend-ready in three grades

Screened 4–8, 4–12, and 4–16 mm ranges let you set the structure your recipe needs.

Coco husk chips can be blended with cocopeat or other growing-media components to tune a substrate. Outcomes depend on your crop, climate, and system. We describe material behavior, not guaranteed results.

Where it goes to work

Applications across horticulture and beyond

From orchid benches to growbag factories: the same husk chip, specified differently.

For manufacturers

Producing growbags or custom growing media?

We supply coco husk chips as an input material, the structural fraction blended with cocopeat or other substrate components inside your growbags, slabs, and mixes. Screened grades, export packing, and a specification agreed per order. We do not sell finished growbags; your product stays yours.

Beyond horticulture

Reptile bedding substrate, supplied at trade volume

Coco husk chips are used in selected reptile enclosures where keepers want moisture management and a natural-looking floor. We supply pet product distributors and packers with the raw material, screened to the particle size their lines require.

Suitability depends on the reptile species and husbandry requirements. The material must be appropriately prepared and maintained, and buyers should determine particle size and treatment requirements for their market; we make no universal hygiene or safety guarantees.
